Morgan Julia Woerner was born and raised in Hinsdale, IL (a western suburb of Chicago). Though Morgan currently resides in Arlington, VA she still takes pride in her Midwestern roots, as evidenced by her long-time support of the Cubs and Da Bears as well as her affinity for good Chicago style pizza.
Morgan first moved to the east coast when she was in high school, attending the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Mass., where she played lacrosse and field hockey and enjoyed a collegial atmosphere with students from around the nation and world.
Morgan graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon in the spring of 2003 and after a summer at home in Hinsdale headed back out east to Washington DC, where she enrolled at American University (AU), majoring in Political Science and Communications.
Morgan spent the next four years taking advantage of all that DC had to offer, be that inside and outside of the classroom, through her many internships and her amazing experience studying abroad in South Africa in the fall of 2005. She was fortunate to meet some of her best friends at AU, many of whom are in her bridal party!
Morgan graduated from AU in May 2007 and after an incredible trip through Europe with one of her best friends, Caroline, she moved into a house on Capitol Hill with three of her best friends, and got to once again experience another side of the city that she has come to know and love, and call her home.
Morgan currently works in the Office of Communications at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
